Our enforced stay in Firenze couldn’t be bedda. Salva lives right in the centre, and there is something magical about having your own front door key in a place like this. Hanging out with friends, meandering about the streets, people watching in piazzas and the occasional pizza. Yum. Oh, and I had fun cutting Franc’s hair – the things he’ll do to save €10! If he wears hats in photos from now on, you’ll know why.
Today, we took the train over to Lucca – a lovely small city to wander around. Just as we were thinking its not hard to kill time in Tuscany we got the news that Bedda is back and ready to be collected. A day or two earlier than expected, so we’ll be back on the road tomorrow.
Some news. As we southerners are feeling the cold, we’re starting to weigh up options about how to get home a little quicker than planned: shipping Bedda overland or taking a car train up through Germany and ferry from Holland. If any of you have any good ideas, let us know.

Nostro riposo forzato a Firenze non potrebbe essere piu bedda. Nostro amico Salva abita proprio nel centro e c’e qualcosa magica di tenere in mano un mazzo di chiave di casa tua (veramente di Salva) in un posto cosi bello. Passando tempo con amici, vaiando le strade, guardando le personi in piazza e mangiando le pizze. Mmm. O si, io mi sono divertito tagliando i capelli di Franc – le cose che lui fa per risparmiare 10€! Se lui porta il capello negli foto seguenti, si capisce il perche.
Oggi abbiamo preso il treno a Lucca – una citta piccola d’esplorare a piedi. Proprio al momento che abbiamo scoperto che e facile a passare tempo nella Toscana abbiamo ricevuto l’annuncio del garage che Bedda era pronta. Un giorno prima che era previsto, quindi saremo di nuovo in viaggio domani.
Una notizia. Si come noi meridionali gia cominciamo di sentire il freddo, stiamo valutando le nostre scielte di come ritornare a casa con un po piu velocita di quello previsto: di spedire Bedda via cargo stradale o di prendere un auto-treno alla germania con traghetto d’ollanda. Se ovunque di voi tifosi nostri avete altre idee buone, farceli sapere.

Not sure about the haircut but for once it makes your face look thinner! Or have you lost weight? You’re both looking good and obviously having a whale of a time. The car is holding up well but I can understand why you don’t want to drive her all the way home. Must rush off now and GET ON WITH MUNDANE LIFE!! Good luck with the rest of the journey. I presume that you will try to stop off in Turin.

Its the hard regime we keep in Bedda to save on petrol!!!! You’ll see we made it to Turin and are struggling to leave – the cousins are looking after us well and its nice to have our own apartment for a bit. Shame its not just a little bit warmer! lots of love Sara
